Onto Innovation strives to optimize customers’ critical path of progress by making them smarter, faster and more efficient.Job Summary & ResponsibilitiesJob Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to provide on-site technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for our advanced metrology and inspection tools. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in semiconductor technology and customer service.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide professional on-site technical support and troubleshooting.Conduct preventative maintenance and calibration of metrology equipment.Develop innovative solutions to customer challenges and ensure optimal tool performance.Collaborate with internal teams (product, engineering, marketing) to address customer needs and feedback.Manage and resolve quality issues, including submitting DOA or RMA as needed.Maintain accurate records of service activities and customer interactions.Travel up to 25% to customer sites as required to provide support and training.Additional Information: The position will require 25% work on Fridays and Saturdays.QualificationsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the semiconductor industry or a related field.Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Strong communication and customer service skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites, including internationally.Preferred SkillsExperience with semiconductor metrology tools.Familiarity with software tools used in semiconductor metrology.Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Strong organizational and time management skills.Onto Innovation Inc. offers competitive salaries and a generous benefits package, including health/dental/vision/life/disability, PTO, 401K plan with employer match, and an Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP) along with health & wellness initiatives.
