Field Service Engineer (Pump equipment)

Join our global team to grow your expertise and develop innovative solutions that enable a prosperous and more sustainable society.About The RoleThe position is based from Sulzer workshop and is responsible for the overhaul, repair, installation & commissioning of rotating equipment to support our client base in Qatar.Preparing, coordinating and carrying out inspections and repairs of all pump types at customer sites inside and outside the country, within the specified time and at the estimated cost.Main Tasks And ResponsibilitiesCarrying out reparations and inspections inside and outside the country at customer sitesProvision of safe and effective site and workshop overhaul, repair, installation and commissioning services for all rotating equipmentBe the first point of contact for allocated customers in respect of any issues relating to agreed on-site scopes of workDevelop strong relationships with key client contactsBe responsible for on-site Health & SafetyCompile on-site Risk Assessments for scopes of work.Lead and supervise on-site repair teams during site contract execution.Provide continuous improvement in repair, installation and commissioning activitiesDevelop and maintain good and effective relationships with clients to optimise further service opportunitiesLiaise with technical departments within Sulzer to develop engineering solutionsManage relevant suppliers and subcontractorsCompilation of comprehensive site reports in line with company quality management systemCommunication: communicates (in English as well) with Sulzer team, contractors, and clients.Writing daily reportsWork with: PC, MS Office package, telephone, hand tools, lifting equipment and gear, induction equipment, welding and cutting equipment, Sulzer regulations, OEM instructions, customer rules and regulations and local safety regulations.Qualifications/Experience And Knowledge RequiredRelevant experience of minimum 10 years specific experience of working on centrifugal API 610 pumps and rotating equipment.Excellent English proficiencyExperience in the Middle East and an ability to read and comprehend engineering drawings and data.Competencies RequiredCommunication skillsAbility to act independentlyFlexibility and ability to adapt to changeAttention to detailWhat we offer youSulzer is an equal opportunity employer.
