Job DescriptionProcesses and monitors complex accounting transactions across multiple entities. Supports statutory, tax, internal, and external reporting (including SOX) for several legal entities. Contributes to the Country Accounting team, with responsibility for Financial Accounting Functions of multiple legal entities in Africa. In addition to these responsibilities, the FAM will also serve as the Country Finance Director (CFD) for the legal entities under their scope, assuming full accountability for financial governance, compliance, and strategic financial leadership at the entity level.How You Will Contribute And What You Will LearnManage accounting operations for multiple countries and legal entities, including statutory postings, financial statements, and related tasks.Lead statutory and tax audits, ensuring timely coordination and resolution across entities.Ensure compliance with indirect taxation, withholding tax, and corporate income tax regulations; interface with local tax authorities and review tax returns.Maintain and enhance internal controls in line with the FAM control catalogue.Uphold technical quality across accounting functions and provide governance for regional accounting standards and statutory requirements.Serve as a business partner on accounting matters arising from projects and daily operations.Identify, assess, and manage financial risks, providing timely insights and mitigation strategies.Monitor performance metrics and implement process improvements to enhance consistency, efficiency, and effectiveness.Support manual payments and clearing activities across entities.Assist with treasury operations, including bank engagement, statement provisioning, SOX control execution, and account funding.R espond to ad hoc requests with sound judgment and tailored solutions Key Skills And ExperienceYou have:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.Minimum 7 years of experience in local accounting and compliance, with exposure to multi-entity environments.Strong command of accounting principles, statutory financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to navigate complex financial systems.Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve intricate accounting issues independently.Fluent in English, with excellent interpersonal, communication, and cross-cultural collaboration skills.Highly self-driven, results-oriented, and capable of performing under pressure with a proactive, hands-on approach.Strong analytical mindset, sound problem-solving skills, and solid business acumen across financial, technical, and internal control domains.It would be nice if you also had:Experience leading functional teams or projects.Knowledge of international accounting standards (IFRS) and local tax regulations.Proficiency in various accounting software and ERP systems.Strong communication skills, particularly with executive leadership.About UsAbout NokiaJoin us in creating the technology that helps the world act together.We are a B2B technology innovation leader, pioneering networks that sense, think and act™, putting the world’s people, machines and devices in sync to create a more sustainable, productive and accessible future.Learn more about life at Nokia .About The Business GroupChief Financial Office is a diverse team at the frontline, delivering finance and business services, investor relations, and more across the world.
