Job Description

Main responsibilitiesPrepares accurate and timely Pharmacy financial-related analyses, research, and forecasts.Responsible for reporting, analyzing, and explaining estimates, quarter close results, quarterly projection, annual operating plan, and other Pharmacy financial performance reports in a timely and accurate mannerCompiles and prepares graphs and charts of data developedConceptualizes, develops, and presents business cases to department finance and business leadershipParticipates in special financial and business-related studies as needed to support project objectivesDevelops, interprets, analyzes, and assists in developing complex business strategiesProvide financial perspective on changed or alternative strategies under consideration by senior management; assist in tracking financial results compared with the annual operating planPartners with other functional departments in the preparation of analyses and to identify improvement opportunities that can provide positive results to the bottom lineDevelops and maintains special analytical tools and recommendations for actions to improve profitability and operational efficienciesInteracts regularly with Division leadership to prepare reports, investigate variances, and respond to inquiriesContributes to critical Planning and Analysis processesContributes to the financial analysis of alternatives, recommendations, and research from multiple sourcesApplies a moderate to significant level of financial and/or accounting subject matter knowledge to solve a variety of business issuesActs as an informed finance team member to management to provide analysis of information, insights into the performance of the business, and project direction inputExercises independent judgment within defined practices and procedures to determine appropriate actionUse a variety of tools (SQL, Access, Excel, Lawson, Oracle, QMF, OTBI, etc.) to mine data and bring rigorous analytical techniques to bear on complex retail business problems.Owns and/or plays a leadership role in crucial planning and analysis processesWhat we are searching for:Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field preferredPrior experience (minimum 5 years) in financial analysis and pharmacy or medical experience preferred.Ability to be a team member and demonstrate skills to contribute to team dynamicsPossess excellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenDemonstrated ability to work effectively with others within a complex, fast-paced organization is requiredCapability to work independently when neededAbility to manage confidential and proprietary informationStatistical modeling skills a plusKnowledge and experience with Lawson and Oracle financial systems.Knowledge and experience with Essbase and SmartView.Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Access, Excel, and Outlook
