Job Description

Main Purpose:This position is responsible for collection and risk mitigation part of the Credit and Control process, including review of credit reports, maintaining control over customer balances and taking action relating to collection and recovery process.Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities:Key ResponsibilitiesSupervision of the DepartmentManage and supervise the overall activities of the Finance & Accounting functions in the affiliate at an overall and Line of Business level.Review the transactional accounting activities performed by the shared services team and approve all entriesMargin analysisMonthly reporting of reliable business margin through correct inventory valuation and proper rationalisation of segmentation performance vs in country principles (price structure).Preparation of monthly customer and site profitability.Price updates and discount review: Review prices updates for new customers and discounts for reasonability/ accuracy/competitiveness before they are input in the system by price analyst.Foreign Vendor ManagementMaintain and timely update the foreign vendors registerTimely communicate with Treasury of FX requirementsEnsure timely reconciliation of foreign vendor accountsEnsure invoices are timely booked and submitted to the banksTimely communication with vendors on issuesReportingPrepare daily controlsPrepare weekly volume flash and bi weekly flash reportEnsure timely and accurate reporting of country financial results (Full P&L, Line of business and FX reviews)Preparing monthly reporting packs for the country performance reviewsReview fixed cost by account and cost centers to ensure that they are reasonable and spending is within budget and that all exceptional items are properly explainedFocus on providing quality information to the Business with proper explanation for all the elements of the P&LPropose new actions to the business in order to be more efficientPrepare 3 month rolling cash flow in conjunction with treasuryDrive ad-hoc analysis as required by the businessReview stock positions monthlyPrepare Monthly rentals & Incentives filesPrepare monthly Distribution Claims and Trading Accounts to MERAAssist with board paper preparationsBudget and Plan Coordinate the annual P&L budget and strategic plan according to group timelinesDeliver quality budgets on time with alignment of numbers with key stakeholders stating clear assumptions and cross checking of anchor pointsPreparation of the annual capex budgetCapex/Investment review Ensure adherence of procurement procedures relating to capexEnsure capex budget is adequately utilized by running bi-weekly capex callsEnsure accurate capex reporting (Actual and forecast)Review of projects prior its approval as per DOAPerform business case analysis (P&L, DCF, IRR, etc)TaxComply with all Group, Statutory and Regulatory requirements of the company, such as Financial Statements and Monthly regulatory reporting e.g. VAT, WHT, PAYE, NRT, FBT and CustomsLiaise with tax team to ensure Tax reporting is correct.Ensure that all compliance requirements are submitted accurately and on time.Ad-hocProvide reports/recommendation to management on any control issues.Ensure that the company’s control framework is effective and fit for purpose and that it is aligned to the Group’s Control frameworkAssist in providing information for statutory and internal audits in line with set timelinesAssist the FM in enforcing controls including DOA complianceAttend to ad hoc requests for information surveys by the government agenciesRequirements:Qualification:Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and Accounting, Credit Management or LegalMaster’s Degree in Finance and Accounting, Business Administration, international business, business law and general auditingFluent in English (other languages will be a plus)Experience: Experience in credit & accountingCapacity of guided analysis and control processesExperience in business administrationKnowledge of financial institution operations, policies and procedures, and credit systemsSkills: Ability to compile, analyze data and prepare complex financial reports and statementsAble to adapt quickly and easilyAccounting KnowledgeAnalytical skillsCommunicate effectively, both orally and in writingFluent with multiple computer applications to run and analyze financial reports.Good time-management skills go hand-in-hand in with strong organizational capabilitiesHonesty and integrityKnowledge of applicable local laws, codes and regulationsCompetencies: Ability to prioritize and schedule work;
