Role Description The Finance Intern / Accounting Assistant provides essential support to finance and accounting teams by assisting with financial reporting, data entry, reconciliations, and administrative tasks that contribute to accurate and efficient financial operations. This role offers hands-on exposure to core financial processes, helping ensure that records, documentation, and transactions are maintained in alignment with organizational policies and accounting standards. Working closely with accountants, analysts, and finance managers, the Finance Intern / Accounting Assistant contributes to the timely preparation of financial statements, audits, and internal reports.Core responsibilities include assisting with accounts payable and receivable processing, updating ledgers, maintaining spreadsheets, and verifying financial data for completeness and accuracy. The role may involve preparing journal entries, performing bank or account reconciliations, and supporting month-end or quarter-end close activities. Additional duties include helping organize financial documents, supporting invoice tracking, conducting simple variance analysis, and assisting with budget or forecast preparation as needed.The Finance Intern / Accounting Assistant may also support administrative tasks such as organizing records, preparing reports, compiling data for presentations, and responding to internal inquiries.
