We collaborate in a fast-paced environment, contributing to innovative solutions, and demonstrating meticulousness.About The RoleYou will primarily be responsible for providing financial analysis and insight into the performance of multiple Elsevier Business Units representing over $3b worth of sales and revenue of Elsevier. The Finance Manager reports directly to the Finance Director CoE and works closely with Business Decision Support Finance teams (BDS). This position manages a team of 4. You will play a crucial role in building a dynamic service-oriented culture and maintaining the reputation of the Centre of Expertise.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the delivery of key management reporting and analysis to supported Business Units, Elsevier senior leadership and RELX (parent company) FP&ADrive the development of Budgets, Forecasts, and monthly LV for sales across regions and key productsParticipate in the quota setting process for the sales organisationLead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including automations, implementation of GenAI tools, process redesignOwn sales planning application (Oracle)Coordinate reporting and budgeting/forecasting cycles within BDS, ensuring the requirements and deadlines of Elsevier FP&A are metRequirementsHave very strong analytical skills and MS Excel modeling capabilities to provide deep insights and resolve finance inquiriesExperience with manipulating large data sets, as well as ability to quickly learn new systems and toolsBe proactive and motivated individual with a can-do mentality, ready to take on challenges in a complex and demanding environment.
