As part of the Finance and Accounting Department, you will play a critical role in managing daily financial operations, ensuring compliance, and supporting business growth. You will report directly to the Financial Controller based in Hong Kong.We’re looking for candidates with experience in fast-paced, dynamic environments who can contribute to scaling and managing our rapid growth across Japan. Apply now and join us as #OneLalamove!What You’ll DoManage the day-to-day, monthly, and year-end operations of the Finance and Accounting DepartmentPerform accounts receivable and accounts payable processes for the Japan operations, including any accruals and prepaymentsOrganize, control and define the standard operating procedures for local finance operationsLiaise with external parties, including but not limited to customers, vendors, lawyers, financial institutions, local authorities, etcSupport the orientation of all internal areas regarding financial/business processes;Coordinate with suppliers on invoices and payments locallyPrepare the financial information required by the local authoritiesParticipate in internal control testing on transactional activitiesContribute to timely and efficient communication with internal and external stakeholders to identify and discuss issues and suggestions for improvementPrepare cash flow reports, financial reports such as Forecasts, Budgets and Actuals, performing a thorough investigation and analysis over collected data;Perform financial review, analysis and approval, budgeting, planning, capital expenditure and investment return analysis on a group level basisPerform month-end reconciliation and analysis, including but not limited to fixed assets and bank statements Supporting the finance leadership team with financial aspects of project funding and risk assessmentWhat We SeekPositive, passionate and proactive with strong self-initiative and attention to detailsPossesses a critical thinking approach and mindset focused on continuous improvementCommitted to helping the team success in becoming the market leader in last-mile, on-demand deliveriesWhat You’ll NeedBachelor's degree or higher in Finance or AccountingNative or at least business-level proficiency in JapaneseFluent in English to communicate with the entire group5 years of relevant experience in Finance and Accounting with ideally 1 year in a managerial capacityHolding a CPA certification is strongly preferredSolid local tax knowledge and advanced ExcelTo all candidates- Lalamove respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data.This Notice will inform you how we will use your personal data, explain your privacy rights and the protection you have by the law when you apply to join us.
