Financial ManagerRole OverviewMercor is seeking experienced Financial Managers to collaborate with a leading AI research lab. In this role, you will leverage your expertise to design, review, and evaluate realistic financial management scenarios for AI systems. Your work will help ensure AI models understand and replicate professional standards in budgeting, reporting, forecasting, compliance, and strategic financial decision-making. This is a fully remote, part-time contract opportunity with flexible hours.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop realistic tasks and scenarios reflecting real-world financial management practices.Create scenarios covering budget planning, financial reporting, cash flow management, team leadership, and strategic planning.Oversee AI simulations related to accounting teams, audits, regulatory compliance, capital allocation, executive reporting, and financial controls.Review and evaluate AI-generated financial management outputs for accuracy and professional standards.Provide detailed feedback to improve AI performance in financial management tasks.Ideal Qualifications4+ years of professional experience as a financial manager, finance director, or controller in finance, insurance, or corporate finance.Demonstrated management experience and professional recognition.Proficient with computer software and financial tools.Excellent written communication skills with strong grammar and attention to detail.Ability to pass video interview, background check, training, and qualification assessment.Project DetailsCommitment: Part-time (20+ hours/week, flexible; can scale to 40 hours)Duration: 6 weeks (starting immediately)Schedule: Fully remote and asynchronousEmployment Type: Contract (Part-Time, Remote)Compensation & ContractHourly Rate: $120–$150 USD per hourContract Type: Independent contractor (paid weekly via Stripe Connect)Contractors maintain full control over work schedule and methodsApply Now
