Backed by leading investors and strategic partners including Exponent and Merlin Entertainment, Big Bus Tours continues to innovate and set the standard for sightseeing experiences.At Touristation, we are looking for a dynamic Finance Manager to join our team who will play a critical role in overseeing and managing financial activities, and who will help us to integrate into the global platform operated by Big Bus Tours. The Finance Manager will support the transformation of business and financial outlook by designing and implementing business growth strategies. The individual will take ownership of the finance function, managing the monthly reporting requirements as well as the annual financial statements and audit, budgeting and forecasting, and treasury and liquidity requirements.Role SummaryThe role involves planning, reporting and data analysis, with the opportunity to business partner with teams around the business. It is a great role for someone hoping to advance their reporting, analytical and communication skills.The individual will be based in Rome with the local team, partnering closely with the entrepreneur founder of the business, while reporting to the European Finance Controller (based in London) and liaising with stakeholders and partners internationally around the group.Overview of Duties & ResponsibilitiesReporting, Analysis and ControlResponsibility for all accounting entries related to Touristation entitiesOwnership of monthly management accounts, including analysis against budget and prior yearsEnsure compliance with both Italian and IFRS accounting standards and Global company policiesWorking capital management: overseeing accounts payable and receivable and payroll functionsOverview of Duties & Responsibilities (continued)Budgeting and ForecastingPreparation of annual budget and monthly reforecasts for the companyPreparation of a detailed 13-week liquidity forecast on a monthly basisPreparation of ad hoc forecasts and analysis as requiredAudit and Financial Statements Preparation of financial statements for Touristation entitiesOwnership of annual audits for Touristation entities, managing all audit requests and liaising day-to-day with the audit team (local and Group)Treasury and Tax Responsibilities Oversight of treasury function, managing day to day banking and cashflow managementOwnership of TOMS VAT processes, ensuring accurate margin calculations, timely submissions, and regulatory complianceWorking with Group Tax and local advisors to ensure local legislative, VAT and corporation tax compliancePeopleBusiness partnering with stakeholders from around the group, including local operational and sales teams and central support teams located between London and the USQualifications & ExperienceQualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) including membership of the relevant accredited professional body e.g. Dottore Commercialista (IT) or ICAEW (UK)/equivalent3- 5 years experience within large corporate environmentMust have prior experience working with TOMS in a travel or tour operator settingExperience within the travel/tourism industry preferred but not requiredSkills & KnowledgeFluency in Italian and English (written and spoken) is essentialProven experience in business transformation and process improvementSkilled in aligning local finance practices with wider group policy, ensuring standardisation, compliance and best practice adoptionStrong stakeholder management and communication skillsAdvanced Microsoft Excel skillsExperience with modern ERP systems and Italian billing portal interfaces is preferredHighest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organisedHighly accurate, organised, analytical and self-motivatedOther informationFull-time roleOffice based in Prati, Rome
