We’re a team that values precision and professionalism but also believes in maintaining a supportive workplace where ideas are welcomed and people grow together.Job Purpose:As a Finance Operations Analyst, you will be at the heart of our financial operations, ensuring accuracy, insight, and efficiency. You’ll play a critical role in managing data, supporting business decisions with clear analysis, and working cross-functionally with colleagues in operations, procurement, and technology.This role is ideal for someone who thrives on detail but also enjoys seeing how numbers drive the bigger picture, able to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders whilst having strong proficiency in financial software and Excel for data analysis and reporting.Salary: Up to £35,000, depending on experience.Below are examples of the job duties you will be expected to undertake. From time to time, you may also be asked by management to perform additional ad hoc tasks that fall within your capabilities.Scope and Purpose of Job:Data Management and AnalysisCollect, analyse, and interpret financial data from multiple systems to provide actionable insights while ensuring accurate, timely reporting and data integrity.Financial ReportingPrepare regular financial reports (including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analysis) and support month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.Budgeting and ForecastingAssist with budgeting by analysing financial data to predict future trends while monitoring expenses and revenues to ensure the company stays on track with its goals.Accounts Payable and Receivable SupportEnsure smooth processing of invoices, payments, and collections by tracking unpaid balances; collaborating with internal teams/vendors to resolve discrepancies.Process ImprovementIdentify inefficiencies in financial operations, recommend solutions, and implement standardised procedures to streamline processes.Compliance and ControlsEnsure financial operations comply with policies, regulations, and industry standards while supporting internal audits; maintaining strong financial controls to minimise risk.Cross-functional CollaborationWork closely with departments to ensure financial alignment while providing guidance and support to other teams as needed.Systems and Tools ManagementOversee and manage financial systems used for reporting, accounting, or forecasting.Troubleshoot any system issues related to financial reporting or operations.Reporting Automation and OptimizationLook for opportunities to automate repetitive tasks in financial reporting and operations, improving efficiency and accuracy.Variance AnalysisConduct variance analysis to compare actual performance against budgets or forecasts and provide explanations for any discrepancies.Delivery OperationsMaintain communication between Head Office and Operations, conducting spot-checks and monitoring daily activities to ensure delivery quality and timely resolution of issues.Why Join Us:Be part of a company trusted by some of the biggest global brands.Play a key role in shaping how finance supports the wider business.Work in a supportive environment that values growth, collaboration, and innovation.What We're Looking For:Strong skills in Odoo, Xero, and Excel (or similar financial systems).Analytical mindset with the ability to turn numbers into meaningful insight.Excellent communication skills, able to engage with both finance and non-finance colleagues.Experience in financial operations, ideally within a logistics or technology environment.A proactive and curious nature - someone who is not just comfortable working with numbers but also enjoys improving how things are done.
