Financial Accountant

Location: Clonmel, TipperaryOn-Site/Hybrid/Remote: On-SiteCompensation: Open DOE Our client, a leading sporting body with international interests, is hiring a Financial Accountant to its Irish HQ. Working as part of an established and supportive finance team, you’ll gain hands-on experience across management accounting, budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting. Key ResponsibilitiesPreparation of monthly management accounts, including analysis and investigation of variancesCompletion of monthly reconciliationsParticipation in the annual budgeting and forecasting processPreparation of statutory reports and liaison with external auditorsProvision of financial analysis and support to the wider businessContinuous improvement of financial reporting processes and involvement in systems development projectsUndertaking other ad hoc projects and duties as required Key SkillsQualified accountant, either practice or industry-trainedStrong technical accounting skillsExcellent IT skills with familiarity in financial accounting and reporting systemsDemonstrated aptitude to learn, willingness to progress, and ability to take on responsibilityStrong commercial and business acumenExcellent interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with senior management Due to the high volume of applications received, we regret that we are unable to respond to all applications.
