Financial Accountant

General Requirement:A driven, proactive Financial Accountant with recent completed audit articles from an international audit firm is required with a strong understanding of the audit methodology, finance analytical mind and a hunger for growth. The Financial Accountant will play a crucial role in completing all outstanding external audit deliverables in the African region. Qualifications & Experience:A minimum BCom Degree in Finance, Accounting with honours.0-2 years post articles in an audit firmExposure to compiling and reviewing Annual Financial Statements including consolidation. I am willing to learn and develop financial, accounting, and reporting.Strong communication skills with the ability to discuss any issues with a wide variety of individuals and groups.Capability to produce deliverables on time, with attention to detail.A well-organized team player with the abilityto adapt to the changing requirements of the role and perform various tasks, act individually, and think and think creatively.Familiarity with Microsoft applications (notably Excel and PowerPoint)Strong problem-solving capabilities/skillsProactive attitudeRoles and Responsibilities:Review and compile the annual financial statements for all African companiesOversee the on-going external audits and ensure all outstanding matters are attended to. Collaborate with finance department heads as well as the auditors to ensure that all audit deadlines are met. Complete audit project related activities (review files, analytics) or any other analysis required. Ensuring timely and accurate delivery of information to the audit firm.Liaise with all departments (finance, sales, technical, development, etc.) to ensure accuracy of supporting data.Experience in working and/or auditing a service rending company will be advantageous.
