In line with our growth, we are looking for a Financial Accountant (m/f/d) to join our BU team in Zug. This is a unique opportunity to be involved in the day-to-day activities of our Swiss and Italian corporate entities and to support other group entities in other jurisdictions.This position offers a diverse scope across financial accounting, management reporting, VAT and tax compliance, and collaboration with external auditors and internal stakeholders. The role requires a proactive and organized individual who enjoys working in a dynamic, international environment.Your ResponsibilitiesThis position offers a diverse set of responsibilities where you will take ownership, drive improvements, and play an active role in shaping our financial processes and structures:Manage daily accounting operations for the Swiss entity and oversee the Italian entity.Support the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports.Oversee accounts payable, employee expenses, and payment processes.Prepare and review VAT filings and other tax-related submissions.Support payroll-related reporting (e.g., taxable benefits).Contribute to cash flow management, budgeting, and forecasting.Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors during interim and year-end audits.Identify and implement process improvements and automation initiatives.Handle other ad hoc finance and accounting matters across group entities.Your ProfileWe’re looking for a proactive, detail-oriented multitasker who brings practical experience working with a range of tools and systems:Tools & Systems KnowledgeAccounting software: Certinia (FinancialForce), Datev/ Datev Koinos or similar ERP systemsExpense management: Concur or comparable platformsDocument management and collaboration: Microsoft 365 suite (Excel, Word, Teams, SharePoint)Familiarity with automation or process improvement tools is a plusQualifications & ExperienceDegree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (or equivalent professional training).At least 3–5 years’ experience in financial controlling, ideally in an international or multi-entity environment.Sound knowledge of Swiss Code of Obligations (CO); familiarity with international accounting standards is an advantage.Experience with VAT and payroll accounting.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent communication skills in German and English, Italian is a plus.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.About BUAt BU, we foster entrepreneurial and responsible mindset, as well as a collaborative and team-focused culture.
