We offer diversified and flexible investment solutions that are mutually beneficial to our clients in the long run because we believe that success is better shared.Purpose Of The JobThe successful candidate will support the finance team across various accounting functions, including payroll administration, financial statement preparation, reconciliations, tax compliance, and process automation, and contribute to the management of the company's LTIS Trust and BBBEE initiatives., Requirements,Ideal ExperienceStrong MS Excel skills requiredPower BI experience is advantageousPastel experience is advantageousUnderstanding of accounting principlesIdeal QualificationRelevant Finance/Accounting related tertiary qualificationCompetencies & Ideal Personality AttributesStrong attention to detailAbility to work with clear deadlinesStrong communication and interpersonal skillsProblem solving and analytical skillsAbility to take ownership and be self-motivatedDiligence and numeracy abilityPassionate, ambitious, and energeticSystems KnowledgeProficient in MS Office and MS Teams, SAGE or similar finance/payroll system, Duties and Responsibilities,Management Accounting:Processing of company accounts on a monthly basis including but not limited to the trial balance, general ledger, cashbooks and journals.Detailed review and preparation of monthly ledger reconciliations.Preparing supplier and customer age analysis.Preparation of VAT and submission of VAT201 returns.Processing of the company credit card.Assisting with the preparing and maintaining the fixed asset register.Drafting of annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and assisting with the group consolidation on OneStream.Liaising with the External and Internal auditors on an annual basis.Automation of existing processes within the finance department for improved efficiency and evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls across processes.Assisting with capital adequacy maintenance and cash flow management. Long Term Incentive Scheme (LTIS) Trust:Assisting with the capturing and management of the LTIS accounting records monthly.Preparation of journals for other participating entities within the greater PPS Insurance group.Automation and streamlining of existing LTIS processes including IT3b tax certificates and beneficiary statements. Payroll Ensure the accurate and timeous processing of employment changes including new appointments, terminations, and general payroll input.Maintenance of employee payroll data with monthly payroll changes including valid employee expense claims per contracts and latest SARS allowances.HR benefits administration including contributions; withdrawals; reconciliations and payments to providers.Stakeholder management and manage enquiriesEMP 501 and IRP5 submissions. Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment:Processing of weekly supplier payment runs.Implementing and driving BBBEE strategy when it comes to procurement across the business.Assisting with achieving the desired BBBEE outcomes during the BBBEE audit. Business reporting:Assist with business reporting to various stakeholders on a monthly basis.Analyzing and modelling existing data points to identify efficienciesProvide business support to other departments and,Ad-hoc tasks and analysis, queries as required at the timePlease NoteYou acknowledge that any information supplied to PPS is provided voluntarily and therefore constitutes unconditional, specific and voluntary consent to the processing of such information by PPS.
