Reporting to the Group CFO, the analyst will be responsible for developing and maintaining financial models, managing the budgeting and forecasting processes, and providing financial insights to support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and communication skills, the ability to collaborate effectively across departments, and the capacity to present financial information to various stakeholders, including investors.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain integrated financial models (income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow) to support forecasting, scenario planning, and valuation analysesLead the quarterly budgeting and forecasting/reforecasting process, working closely with departments to gather inputs and ensure alignment with company goalsPrepare and analyze monthly and quarterly financial reports, including variance analysis, to identify trends, risks, and opportunitiesProvide insightful financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic initiatives, such as new product development, capital expenditures, and business expansionConduct scenario analysis and profitability reports to assess the potential impact of different business decisionsPrepare materials for and potentially present financial results to management and investors, board members including presentations and board papersSupport the development and tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor business performanceRespond to ad-hoc requests for financial analysis and reporting from various stakeholders across the organizationContribute to improvements in budgeting and forecasting methodologies and processesShare the experience and mentor the Junior Corporate Financial AnalystRequirementsA bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field from a recognized institutionProven 5-7 year experience as a Financial Analyst or FP&A professional, with a strong understanding of financial principles and practicesDemonstrated expertise in building and maintaining complex financial models in Excel or Google SheetsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and communicate insights effectivelyStrong verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to present financial information to both financial and non-financial audiencesAbility to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong organizational skills and attention to detailProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and/or Google WorkspaceKeen to travel to Nigeria and other relevant countriesPreferred QualificationsPrevious experience in digital banking/neobanksExperience with financial planning software or BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Looker)Professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA) or working towards itExperience with NetSuite and its add-on integrations.
