Job DescriptionFinancial AnalystRank 3/4Scarborough, ON (Hybrid)Deadline: Please apply before November 4th, 2025.Toyota Canada Inc. currently has an exciting opportunity for a highly diligent and detail-oriented candidate to join our Finance & Accounting (F&A) team as a Consultant, Financial Analyst – Fixed Costs. This full-time role reports to the Manager, Corporate Financial Reporting and Fixed Costs and works closely with the Consultant, Financial Analyst – Team Lead. The successful candidate will play a key role in assisting the Fixed Cost and Capital reporting functions through accurate journal entries, reconciliations, and preparation of financial templates and reports. This role is ideal for an organized, proactive candidate who enjoys hands-on accounting work and assisting the financial planning cycle in a collaborative environment.What We’ll BringCompany & CultureA hybrid work environmentA work environment built on teamwork, flexibility and respectProfessional growth and development programs to help advance your careerA focus on respect for people and continuous improvementSummer Hours – condensed work week during the summerBenefitsCompetitive compensation package including bonusExtended health care and dental benefits effective immediatelyCompany pension plan with additional employer contributionsAssociate vehicle discount programReimbursement programs (tuition & fitness)Paid holiday shutdown and competitive paid time off benefitsSabbatical leave programWhat You’ll Be DoingAccounting & Financial ReportingPrepare journal entries and help month-end close processes for fixed costs and capital accounts in accordance with IFRSPerform monthly account reconciliations and maintain supporting documentationAssist the Team Lead with monthly variance analysis by compiling schedules, preparing supporting information, and taking ownership of assigned business areas by overseeing the month-end close process end-to-end under the Team Lead’s guidanceAssist and participate in the Monthly Financial Review (MFR) process by updating templates, uploading data, preparing summary reports, and assisting with presentations to Finance leadershipMaintain the Fixed Asset sub-legers in collaboration with the Capital Accounting team, including capitalization, depreciation, CIP and disposalsEnsure compliance with internal controls and assist with audit requests and documentationFinancial Planning & Analysis and Business PartnershipAssist the annual budget and quarterly forecast processes by preparing templates, consolidating submissions, and performing data uploadsAssist with the preparation of reports and dashboards used for business reviewsCompile and distribute monthly actuals packages for assigned business areasTake ownership of assigned business areas by overseeing forecasting and reporting activities end-to-endPartner with business units in these areas to understand results, respond to inquiries, and provide clear and accurate financial informationProvide administrative and analytical support to business partners as requiredProcess Improvement & Special ProjectsAssist with ad hoc financial analyses and contribute to process improvement projects aimed at enhancing efficiency and accuracyWhat You’ll BringUniversity degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business AdministrationCPA designation (or working toward designation) preferred2–4 years of financial experience with exposure to financial planning and/or accountingStrong knowledge of IFRS, internal controls, and financial close processesAdvanced Excel techniques, experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)Business and financial acumen with solid awareness of cost management conceptsStrong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizationAbility to take care of multiple priorities and meet timelinesCollaborative and customer-focused approach with strong communication skillsDedication to continuous improvementEffective communication grounded in respect, reliance, and integrityAbout UsToyota Canada Inc. is the exclusive Canadian distributor of Toyota and Lexus vehicles.
