We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial controller to oversee the finances for a firm that focuses on outsourced accounting services.They are a dynamic and forward-thinking firm that specializes in providing online bookkeeping services, fractional controller and fractional CFO services to a diverse client base.Dedicated to leveraging technology and innovation to streamline financialprocesses, they help clients achieve their financial goals.Key ResponsibilitiesAs a ‘Controller’, you will be responsible for the following:● Client Engagement: Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned clients, building strong relationships and understanding their unique financial needs. Meet with clients periodically to discuss financials and ensure that the client expectations are met.● Accounting: Oversee the monthly close process, delivering accurate and timely financialstatements and KPI reports. Ensure all regulatory deadlines are met.● Financial Analysis & Reporting: Prepare month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financials,dashboards, and board packs for clients using tools such as Power BI. Conduct varianceanalysis and make regular updates to financial models.● Audit/Review Support: Act as the primary liaison with external auditors and manage them to ensure that the review/audit progresses effectively.● Compliance: Ensure compliance with all the tax authorities like CRA and Revenue Quebecincluding preparing and filing GST/HST returns.
