Financial Controller

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Controller to join our team. This leadership role is critical to maintaining the financial health and operational integrity of the company. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader, deeply involved in the day-to-day financial operations, and a strategic partner to the business.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Leadership & Reporting: Oversee and manage the complete financial reporting process, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and reports.Compliance & Controls: Develop, implement, and maintain robust internal controls and ensure strict adherence to all compliance requirements.Cash & Treasury Management: Strategically manage the company's cash flow, working capital, and treasury functions.Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage the entire accounting department, including the functions of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, General Ledger, and Fixed Assets.ERP System Champion: Act as the lead point person for the Business Central Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, leveraging its capabilities and ensuring optimal system performance (The system was implemented within the last year).QualificationsProfessional Designation: Must possess a recognized CPA designation (Canadian or international equivalent).Industry Experience: Mandatory experience working in a manufacturing environment. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the Food or Beverage industry.Inventory Expertise: Proven, strong experience with inventory accounting and management is required.Technical Skills:Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Previous hands-on experience with Business Central ERP software is highly preferred.
