ClareIndustry: Food ProductionSalary: Open - depending on experience.Rocketsuite Search has been exclusively engaged by a well-known boutique food production and services company, based just outside Ennis, Co. Clare, to appoint a Financial Controller.Reporting directly to the CEO, the Financial Controller will take full ownership of the company’s finance operations, deliver accurate financial management, and provide commercial insights to guide strategic decision-making. Working closely with operations and sales, this individual will play a pivotal role in driving sustainable growth and profitability.This is a broad, hands-on position suited to an experienced finance professional who thrives in an SME environment, someone capable of adding structure, improving reporting, and helping deliver profitable growth as part of the senior leadership team.Role:Lead all day-to-day finance operations, including accounting, reporting, and cash management.Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasts, and performance reports.Develop and manage the annual budgeting process in partnership with department heads, including detailed SKU-level profitability and cost analysis.Produce rolling forecasts, cash flow projections, and monthly performance reports that clearly reflect gross margins, COGS, and business trends.Oversee inventory and stock control processes, ensuring accurate valuation and strong cost management.Provide clear financial insights and commentary to the CEO and senior leadership team to support decision-making.Manage relationships with external accountants, auditors, and financial institutions.Ensure compliance with all tax and statutory obligations.Support the CEO with strategic financial planning, grant applications, and funding proposals.Continuously enhance financial systems, controls, and reporting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.Candidate:Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA or CIMA) with at least 5 years' PQEExperience in leading a finance function for a small SMEStrong hands-on skills.
