With a strong reputation for technical excellence, innovation, and quality, they partner with global blue-chip clients to deliver complex, high-value projects to the very highest standards.As part of their continued growth across Northern Europe, they are now seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join their Danish operations, based in Copenhagen.The Role:As Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in managing the financial performance and governance of major data centre and industrial construction projects. You’ll provide accurate financial reporting, oversee project cost controls, and support commercial decision-making across multiple high-profile schemes.This is a key position within the regional leadership team, working closely with project directors, commercial managers, and group finance to ensure full financial compliance, transparency, and performance delivery.Key Responsibilities:Manage all financial operations for the company’s Danish business unit and active projects.Oversee project cost control, budget management, cashflow forecasting, and financial reporting.Prepare and present monthly management accounts, forecasts, and variance analysis.Partner with project and commercial teams to ensure alignment between cost reporting and project delivery.Support audit, tax, and compliance activities in line with local Danish regulations and group standards.Lead financial planning processes and assist in strategic business decision-making.Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial efficiency and control.Work with regional and group finance teams to ensure consistent reporting across international operations.Skills & Experience:Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or local equivalent).Proven experience as a Financial Controller or Senior Project Accountant within the construction or engineering sectors.Experience working with main contractors, ideally in mission-critical, data centre, or industrial build environments.Strong understanding of project-based accounting, cost management, and reporting systems.Excellent knowledge of Danish accounting standards, tax, and regulatory requirements.Commercially astute with strong analytical and communication skills.Fluent in English; proficiency in Danish is advantageous but not essential.Package & Benefits:Competitive salary commensurate with experiencePerformance-related bonusComprehensive benefits packageOpportunity to work on world-class mission-critical projects with a leading international contractorCareer progression within a high-growth European business
