This job role is responsible for leveraging data to drive financial insights and supporting strategic decision-making within the organization.Key responsibilities include collecting, analyzing, and interpreting financial data, developing dashboards and reports, and identifying trends and patterns that inform business strategies.They focus on utilizing advanced analytical tools and techniques to enhance financial forecasting, budgeting, and performance measurement.They ensure data integrity and provide actionable insights that contribute to the organization’s financial health and growth.Primary Duties And Responsibilities Shall Include Commercial Finance and Business PartneringCollaborate with Head of Finance and Sales leadership on pricing strategy, margin analysis, and deal structuringAdvice Operations on profitability decisions and cost optimization initiativesProvide commercial finance support for new business opportunities and market entry decisionsConduct contract profitability assessments and revenue optimization analysisAdvise senior leadership on financial implications of strategic initiatives Financial Planning and Performance ManagementCollaborate with Head of Finance on annual budgeting process for both SSC and Vision entitiesDevelop and maintain rolling forecast process (quarterly refresh minimum)Conduct variance analysis with actionable insights and recommendationsDesign and implement KPI frameworks to measure business performancePrepare Board-level financial presentations and executive summaries Working Capital ManagementOwn and optimize AR performance: DSO improvement, credit policy development, collection effectivenessDrive inventory optimization: turn analysis, provision methodology refinement, excess and obsolete managementOptimize AP performance: payment terms negotiation, early payment discount capture, supplier relationship managementDevelop and maintain cash forecasting models and liquidity planningMonthly working capital reporting and improvement initiative tracking Treasury OperationsManage daily cash positioning and cash flow managementOwn banking relationships and coordinate consolidation opportunitiesDevelop and execute forex management and hedging strategiesCoordinate with Group Treasury on funding and investment requirementsMonitor and report on liquidity metrics and covenant complianceOversee company secretarial documents Strategic ProcurementLead RFP processes for major supplier selectionsConduct supplier negotiations and contract management for strategic purchasesPerform total cost of ownership analysis for key procurement decisionsDevelop supplier performance management frameworksSupport business with procurement strategy aligned to cost optimization goals Analysis and Insight GenerationDevelop financial models to support strategic decisionsConduct scenario analysis and sensitivity testing for major initiativesProvide industry benchmarking and competitive financial analysisIdentify and quantify value creation opportunitiesTranslate complex financial analysis into clear business recommendations General Support finance team on MEC and YE closing procedures as directed by the Head of FinanceKey Performance Measurements Budget accuracy and timelinessForecast accuracy (variance within ±5%)Working capital metrics: DSO, inventory turns, DPOCash forecast accuracyCommercial insights delivered (qualitative assessment)Stakeholder satisfaction with FP&A supportEducation / |Professional CertificationCA(SA) qualificationExperience3-5 years’ post-qualification experience in FP&A or commercial finance roleProven experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecastingStrong business partnering and stakeholder management experienceWorking capital management experienceAdvanced Excel and financial modeling skillsExperience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)Experience in medical technology, healthcare, FMGC or similar industryTreasury and cash management experiencePower BI or data visualization tool experienceKnowledge / Skills / Other CharacteristicsStrategic thinking and business acumenStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal)Ability to influence without direct authorityCommercial mindsetRelationship building across functionsHigh attention to detail with big-picture perspectiveAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionProject management capabilitiesProactive and results-orientedWorking Conditions & Other Attributes.Office Full timeYour ZEISS Recruiting TeamMaite Nomthandaso Makgai, Thema Masoga
