Financial Planning and Platform Analysis (Shopee)

About The TeamThis role entails analyzing financial data for Shopee Thailand using SQL and Excel, leading P&L projections across various intervals, consolidating and analyzing SEA market performance, applying structured frameworks for insights, refining estimation and forecast solutions, and presenting actionable business-focused reports to stakeholders.Job DescriptionAnalyze financial performance both at platform level and on targeted initiative basis - identify business opportunities and influence budget approval and allocation process based on financial analysisAnalyze financial performances across different Shopee markets in Southeast Asia and other RegionsManage internal cost and performance tracking process with the goal of improving this workflow over timeSummarize key results and present to senior management on a bi-weekly basis or as required for project approvalsLiaise internally and externally across multiple teams to obtain necessary information for analysis and ensure successful execution of given projectsSupport other functions in budget planning, budget request process inquiries, and budget execution on a daily basisWork closely with budget owners to support the annual, quarterly and monthly budget process. Perform analysis on prior years/quarters/months spending.Build forecasts using historic trends plus commercial input from business functions. Perform the monthly analysis and discuss the forecast with the related budget owners. Control of the monthly spending versus expected forecast.Requirements1-2 years of experience in related fieldPrior experience in audit, finance, banking or consulting is an advantageProficient with financial terms and concepts with good understanding of standard business P&L itemsStrong stakeholders management and communication skillsOutstanding structural thinker, with strong time-management and organizational skillsSelf-driven with willingness to learn and improveStrong sense of responsibility and able to work under pressure to deliver resultsFluent in English, Proficient in Excel; Technical skills such as SQL is a plus but not required
