Financial SpecialistWe are seeking a highly detail-oriented and customer service-focused Financial Specialist to join our Finance & Gift Administration team. This is a critical contract position providing daily financial support, data management, and assistance in the utilization of philanthropic funds.This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with strong Excel skills to gain experience in foundation finance and gift administration.Job Title: Financial SpecialistLocation: 100% Onsite (New Kensington, PA)Duration: 3-Month Contract (with potential for extension)Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week), Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PMPay Rate: $28 - $32 per hourKey ResponsibilitiesThe Financial Analyst will provide essential support to the Foundation and Gift Administration by:Fund Administration: Facilitating the utilization of donated funds and managing the process for requesting philanthropic dollars and patient assistance.Data Management & Tracking: Performing accurate daily data entry, tracking fund encumbrances, and managing recordkeeping for fund applications.User Support & Reporting: Assisting users in navigating the online application for fund use, accessing financial reports on Teams, and submitting supporting documentation for reimbursements.Customer Service: Serving as a primary support contact, helping users access financial information and understand fund data.Month-End Support: Assisting in month-end closing activities by accurately coding transactions for reconciliation purposes.Administrative Tasks: Performing various business operations and administrative tasks to ensure the smooth functioning of use of funds and patient assistance programs.Required Qualifications & SkillsIntermediate to Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas).High Attention to Detail and precision in data entry and recordkeeping.Strong Customer Service Skills and a proactive, helpful orientation.Ability to work 100% onsite (40 hours/week).Education & Experience (Meeting one of the following)Associate’s Degree with a certificate in Accounting or Finance; ORBachelor’s Degree with a major in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Management, or a related field; OR5 years of equivalent experience working in the accounting or finance field.Preferred QualificationsA minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Management role.Proficiency with the full Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
