The scope of this programme is quite broad as its aim is to be responsive to the needs of Pacific Island countries. It includes providing personnel or training to assist with: Delivering and reporting on the flexible finance provided by MFAT; Developing/updating national climate change plans and reporting frameworks; Developing an investment-ready pipeline of projects; Delivering climate change priorities; Improving climate finance reporting; and Accessing a broader range of climate funding.For more information, please see www.cfcsp.co.nzAbout The RoleThe Fisheries and Development Economist will be engaged as a short-term technical consultant to the Ministry of Finance over a period of six months. The consultant will undertake an in-depth analysis of Tokelau’s fisheries revenue model and project its future viability. The role will also include a comprehensive review of Tokelau’s other domestic revenue mechanisms, including the CSL, duties, freight, and fares, and provide policy options for improvement.
