Peterborough)Position Group: Unionized, CUPE 1306 InsideCompetition #: 1306-25-27What you'll do:The Fleet & Equipment Technician is a vital role within the Peterborough County-City Paramedics (PCCP) division. This position will be responsible for various aspects related to fleet, equipment and supply management, including procurement, distribution, specification development, licensing, maintenance and decommission to ensure compliance with Provincial Legislation and Regulations, Corporate Policies and MOHLTC Certification standards. This position reports to the Deputy Chief, Operations, however, day to day workflow is facilitated through the Fleet and Equipment Lead.Fleet Management: Maintain mechanical vehicle readiness at all times and ensure fleet meets required legislated standardsEquipment Maintenance: Conduct maintenance and schedule repairs of all equipment, including but not limited to stretchers, medical equipment, and vehicle technologyInventory Management: Ensure appropriate and cost effective usage and deployment of equipment and supplies inventory and paramedic uniforms. Ensures the rotation of stock at all stations in an effort to decrease expired medications and equipment. In accordance with County Policy, a Vulnerable Sector Police Record Check that is acceptable to the County will be required as a condition of employment.Selection Process: Get ready to showcase your skills!
