Role Description This is a full-time on-site position for a Floating Technician, located in Durban, South Africa. The Floating Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fiber optic systems. Daily tasks include diagnosing technical issues, repairing electrical and fiber systems, supporting the team with physical installations, and providing excellent client service during and after installations. Qualifications Proficiency in the installation and maintenance of fiber optic systems, including cable splicing and testingStrong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for resolving technical issuesExperience with electrical systems and hardware setupsAbility to follow technical schematics and work with tools and equipment for installationsGood verbal communication skills and customer service orientationAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a teamPhysical ability to perform duties requiring manual labor, including climbing and lifting equipmentPrior experience in a similar technician role is an advantage
