Working within our flotilla team allows you to be part of our customer's holiday; you will ensure the successful running of an organised itinerary exploring beautiful destinations. From daily briefings to punch parties and regattas, flotillas bring new friends together.Sunsail is recruiting flotilla skippers based in Greece and Croatia to work in the Mediterranean for the Summer. Full seasonal roles are available on a one-week or two-week flotilla route. Full and high-season positions are open, and following successful summer placements, winter opportunities may be available.Primary duties will centre around the yachts, the base and ports of call. You and your lead boat team will be the face of the company. Working hours vary, and you MUST be flexible to operational requirements. At the beginning and end of the season, you may be asked to carry out fleet re-fit/lay-up.What you will be doingEnsuring the safety of all clients throughout the flotillaPresentation and maintenance of yachtsAll yacht preparation on turnaround days including deck cleaningGreeting clients and assisting with boarding; followed by welcome on-board briefs covering safety and yacht systemsFull first day briefing to entire flotilla and daily briefings to clients on route including weather conditions, and local area informationSecurely mooring all yachts dailyDay to day repairs and assistance to break downs or call outsRegular checks on equipment; specifically safety equipmentEfficient stock control of vital spare parts and equipment stored on the lead yachtSocialising with guestsAssisting with the organisation of group meals, BBQ’s, competitions and punch partiesOrganisation and coordination of flotilla regattasWriting weekly reports on the flotillaCleanliness & good presentation of lead boat at all timesEncouraging teamwork and ensuring all crew are fulfilling their dutiesAny other duties as advised by the Base ManagerWhat We Are Looking ForRYA Yachtmaster Coastal or Offshore with Commercial Endorsement and valid medical certificate (ENG1/ML5) or equivalentBasic yacht maintenance skillsSafety consciousExperience in a customer facing environmentAbility to work through pressurised conditions and make difficult decisionsLeadership skillsSociable and positive personalityA strong teammatePackageCompetitive salary at industry standardAccommodationReturn flights from your home country to the baseUniformTravel InsuranceStaff deals on yacht holidaysGlobal career opportunitiesSponsorship opportunities for top performing team membersOur Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and InclusionWe believe people perform best when they can be their true selves, and diverse teams drive better results.
