Associate, Compliance is responsible for working independently to help coordinate and implement important compliance related projects across the Bank. The Sr. Associate, Compliance is expected to have a general awareness of compliance requirements across deposit and lending regulations. About This RoleKey Responsibilities: Oversee and coordinate compliance related projects. Steps included in each project may include: reading and interpreting new regulatory requirements, developing and updating project plans, working with impacted business units and risk partners, updating management on project status, and producing summary project summary documentation. Coordinate or complete other special projects as assigned.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of banking laws and regulations related to general banking and their impact on First National Bank of Omaha business units. Provide subject matter expertise and consultative services to business units as requested. Exhibit professional behavior and promote positive working relationships. Knowledge, Skills And AbilitiesThe Sr. Associate plays an important role in analyzing and addressing regulatory and reputational risk the enterprise may face. Ensure that the Compliance Risk Management Program is proactive and robust. Ability to work cross-functionallyDeep technical knowledge on assigned regulations.
Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build collaborative relationships, listen and actively contribute to discussions. Strong skills in data analysis and ability to utilize GenAI tools to improve effectiveness and efficiency of workJob Requirements3+ years’ experience in banking industry with experience in compliance preferred. Banking Compliance background preferred, for instance knowledgeable in: Reg Z, Flood Disaster Protections Act, E-sign, Reg. O, SCRA, MLA, and other regulations. Effective project management, facilitation and presentation skills required. Strong oral and written communication skills. Bachelor’s degree preferred or related work experience. Must be proficient in the following business and leadership capabilities:
effective communication, independent and sound decision making, effective relationship management skills, negotiation and internal partner centric leadership. The Ideal Candidate For This RolePreference given to employees who are knowledgeable and adept at utilizing new and emerging technologies. CompensationCompensation range (base pay): $80,061. 00-$132,099. 00This role may have a specific starting pay within this range.
