Construction Labourer

Construction Labourer based in St Lawrence, Jersey About The Role: This role supports 2 team members who are renovating properties in Jersey. We are looking for a motivated Labourer to help with tasks on and around the site.  The ideal candidate should be trustworthy, punctual, ready to help and learn. If you have any or little previous experience on building work, we would like to hear from you. This role is a great entry opportunity into the construction industry.

Your responsibilities-         Performing clean up tasks on site-         Load and unload as and when needed-         Collect and set up tools-         Collect and set up materials-         Helping erect and dismantle scaffolding-         Help with different types of jobs on the and around site-         Operating machinery-         Digging pits, trenches and foundations-         Providing general maintenance of construction equipmentSkills and attributes - The ability to be able to follow written and spoken instructions.

-         Excellent team working skills-         Comfortable working at height-         Basic numeracy and literacy skills-         Good physical condition with the stamina necessary for the tasks given-         Familiar with construction industry safety standards and procedures-  Capable of following directions closelyImportant InformationPortuguese and English speaker requiredA clean UK driving licenceHours of work: 7. 30am to 4. 30pm / 40hrs per week Monday to FridayHoliday: 20 days per yearHourly Rate: £15. 00This job description is subject to change based on the needs of the projects.
