Venues Otautahi is thrilled to be recruiting for a number of key roles across the business that will play a critical part in ensuring the successful launch and long-term success of the stadium, and ultimately bring the stadium to life!Venues Ōtautahi own the Christchurch Town Hall and Wolfbrook Arena and manage Apollo Projects Stadium, Hagley Oval, the Air Force Museum of New Zealand, and One New Zealand Stadium. Venues Ōtautahi venues attract and host a wide range of over 500 events in Christchurch and manage a diverse and iconic portfolio of community venues.Venues Ōtautahi's purpose is to strategically manage and leverage the venues to deliver positive social, cultural, environmental and economic impact to the region. These iconic city venues play a valued role to the Christchurch way of life and the economic prosperity and social wellbeing of the region.About TheRoleWe’re hiring two passionate and experienced Food & Beverage Leads:Corporate F&B Lead – Premium hospitality for weddings, corporate functions, and gala dinners.Retail F&B Lead – Frontline operations for sports, concerts, and ticketed events.Reporting to the F&B Manager, these roles will play an active and positive role in delivering exceptional food and beverage operations across all our venues.Corporate F&B Lead: Oversee premium hospitality and guest experiences for a wide range of events, from intimate weddings and bespoke corporate functions to high-end hospitality suites and gala dinners for over 1,000 guests. You’ll ensure every guest enjoys an exceptional experience, every time.Retail F&B Lead: Lead and manage all frontline F&B operations, delivering a seamless, efficient, and outstanding retail experience for guests attending sports, concerts, and ticketed events across our venues, including One New Zealand Stadium.While each role specialises in different event types, you’ll work closely together and step in to support each other when needed, ensuring exceptional experiences across our diverse range of events.What You’ll DoLead and inspire event teams to deliver exceptional guest experiencesCoach and support staff during events for continuous improvementEnsure presentation standards for staff and event spacesDrive revenue growth and profitability through smart F&B strategiesAssist with staff training to maintain high service standardsWhat You’ll BringThe F&B Leads, like all roles at Venues Ōtautahi, is a hands-on role and will involve evenings and weekend work to meet the needs of our event schedule.Proven experience in food & beverage leadership (corporate or retail).Great communication skills with a natural ability to connect with customers and understand their needsA calm, solution-focused approach with the ability to lead large teams under pressure while maintaining exceptional guest experiencesExceptional attention to detailMinimum of 3 years’ experience in a food and beverage lead/supervisory roleKnowledge of the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012We act with aspiration, agility, kindness and are driven to take care of the venues to make them places of pride and delight for everyone.
