Join us and be part of a company where science meets creativity and learning never stops.The OpportunityThis apprenticeship combines hands-on experience with academic learning, leading to a BSc (Hons) in Food Science & technology. You'll work within the Product & Ingredient Development Team, while attending university part-time to build a solid scientific foundation.PositionSupporting product testing for NPD and EPD, shelf-life studies, and wider projectsAssisting with technical data analysis and documentationGaining mentorship from industry professionals while studying for your degreeExploring ingredient functionality and nutritional properties Providing practical input to the execution of client work, a variety of contract and research projectsTraining other pilot plant users in the correct use of equipmentParticipation in department/business wide projectsAssisting in health & safety, hygiene, good manufacturing activitiesDeveloping knowledge of a pilot plant equipment to include maintenance and recordsRequirementsGenuine interest in food scienceStrong communication and teamwork skillsMotivation to learn and grow within the food industryPredicted A-levels (or equivalent) including at least one science subject or food technology (96 UKAS points)GCSE Maths & English- Level 4 or C and aboveEnthusiasm to learnBenefitsReward platform with employee discounts and rewards25 days holiday + 8 bank holidaysBuy and sell holiday schemeA generous work save pension scheme, with employee contributions matched by the company up to 10%Culture focus around work/life balance (early finish Fridays)Subsidised onsite restaurantAdditional InformationOur location is in a beautiful rural setting, but public transport options are limited — so you’ll need to have access to your own vehicle or alternative travel arrangements.
