Our catering solutions not only keep our own clients well nourished, but also other care homes, commercial operations, and Meals on Wheels organisations.Our **** sqm commercial kitchen located in Malaga combines top-of-the-range equipment with a fully trained team of catering professionals to produce over 600,000 meals per year.We have an exciting opportunity for an experiencedFood Technologist and Quality Assurance Officerto join our catering team in apermanent full-timecapacity.You will work closely with the Catering Production Manager and Operations Manager to improve the quality and safety of food products for Brightwater's clients, while developing processing techniques that comply with the relevant Quality and Food Safety Standards.Key dutiesDevelop and implement Quality & Food Safety programsConduct research and experimentsSupport the development and testing of new products, equipment and systemsDevelop quality control proceduresWhat we offerThe ability to salary package up to $18,550 pa – meaning you can legitimately pay less tax and increase your take-home payOur unique staff benefits program, including access to BrightwaterPlus which gives you discounts with over 370 retailersFree on-site parkingQualificationsFormal qualifications in food science and technology or equivalent, or relevant experience in a commercial catering production environment of similar size and complexityDemonstrated understanding in product development and improvement on processes and quality control in the food environment, with a strong understanding of food legislation, HACCP and the Food Standards Code, especially Ch 3.2.2 and 3.2.3Proven ability to conduct investigations in food safety and quality issues and customer complaintsExperience implementing and monitoring Quality Management SystemsExcellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a wide range of peopleSolution-focused with the ability to organise and prioritise tasks, work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines, demonstrating initiative for priority setting, goal achievement and time managementExcellent computer skills with sound knowledge of Microsoft applications (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and experience in the use of quality management systemsCurrent Western Australian 'C' Class Driver's Licence (desirable)Satisfactory National Police Certificate obtained within the last 12 monthsApplications must be submitted through Brightwater's online portal by the closing date; shortlisting will begin immediately, and Brightwater reserves the right to close this advert before the stated date.For any questions not addressed above, please contact Helen Adamos ************ or ******.Thrive, Connect, Belong.#J-*****-Ljbffr
