The combination of Neptune and PDL brings a broad suite of supply chain services to customers, expanding on our legacies of being at the cutting edge of maritime transport technology to provide more comprehensive logistics options at sea, on land, and in the air.We're currently looking for a Forwarding Coordinator on a 12 month contract basis to play a pivotal role in continuing to improve and enhance our customer experience. This position will interact with all functions of Transam New Zealand to ensure the smooth and efficient processing of import/export and transport services.Job DescriptionIn this multifaceted role, you'll be part of the backbone of our import and export services, overseeing data entry, invoicing, and cartage, all while nurturing enduring customer and supplier relationships. Your responsibilities will encompass the coordination of sea and airfreight, warehousing, trucking, and more, all while extending support to third-party providers in facilitating Customs clearances for import, export, and trans-shipment. Join a vibrant team and be a driving force behind our world-class service delivery!Here’s some of what you’ll do:Coordinate and manage all aspects of the shipment process, including booking, documentation, manifests and customs clearanceArrange transportation and logistics services, such as trucking, shipping, sea and air freight, to meet the specific needs of each shipmentPrepare and process necessary shipping and customs documents, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and export/import documentationEnsure compliance with international trade regulations and customs requirementsTrack and monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery and proactively resolve any issues or delays that may ariseOptimise shipping routes and methods to minimize costs and improve efficiencyPlace Shipping Line Bookings and send to relevant partiesAnalyse and monitor costs and revenues to ensure that profit margins are consistently achievedOther duties as requiredThis is a role where you will develop and maintain collaborative partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, as well as contribute to the continuous improvement of our systems and processes.You are a positive and collaborative team player with a very high attention to detail and focus on accuracy. With the ability to operate within a cohesive team environment, you are someone who will not only be willing to learn but be flexible and adaptable to new challenges.QualificationsHere’s what you’ll bring to the table:A minimum of three years of experience in a similar position within air freight and/or sea freight Experience in the use of the Cargowise system would be desirableTeam player with positive, customer-centric attitude and exceptional communication skillsStrong organisational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneouslyAttention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and compliance with customs regulationsAbility to work under pressure and make sound decisions in fast-paced environmentDemonstrated adaptability to work to changing deadlines Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office SuiteA flexible approach to working hours Training will be provided for someone with a “can do” attitude, a strong work ethic and an appetite for success.
