Amca is building airplanes for the 21st century, starting by designing new hardware that flies on today’s planes. Aviation was once humanity’s boldest ambition, but the industry hasn’t successfully built a new plane in 40 years. We don’t think it has to be this way.OverviewAmca is actively acquiring A&D component suppliers to supercharge new product introduction. This role would be integral to our PE-style deal underwriting and post-closing execution. You will assist in budgeting, capital allocation, and deal execution across Amca and its acquired companies. Your work will inform near-term decisions and long-term strategy as we modernize aerospace manufacturing.QualificationsExpert in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and capital allocationAbility to underwrite acquisitions, evaluate financial statements, and develop investment casesStrong grasp of corporate finance, cost structure analysis, and return frameworks / key driversAbility to synthesize large amounts of financial and operational data into clear insights and recommendationsHighly proficient in Excel and detailed financial modelingFamiliarity with aerospace / industrial companies is a plusCommunication skillsClear, concise, and structuredAble to present complex financial insights to operators, engineers, and executivesStrong writing skills; can build compelling investment memos and post-acquisition plansThoughtful, direct, and decisive in discussionsWork styleHumble and meticulousHigh personal intensity and ownershipComfortable operating in imperfect environments and fixing broken systemsMotivated by building a modern industrial company from the ground upResponsibilitiesPartner with Head of Finance in budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning across Amca and acquired companiesCreate and maintain financial models to support strategic decisions, capital allocation, and performance trackingUnderwrite M&A opportunities, including financial and operational diligence, building financial models, and valuationBuild investment cases, risks assessments, and post-close execution plansSupport post-closing integration: budget stand-up, KPI development, cash forecasting, and operational improvementsTrack performance of acquired companies against underwriting cases, identifying gaps and proposing corrective actionsConduct market, competitive, and operational analyses to evaluate acquisition opportunitiesPartner with the Head of Finance and CEO to evaluate capital deployment options and returnsWork cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and finance teams to improve unit economics and ROIAssist in building systems and processes for recurring financial planning across a multi-entity environmentMaintain a high standard of accuracy, clarity, and analytical discipline in all financial workParticipate in board and lender materials preparation as neededThis position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
