We operate as a flat, collaborative organization with minimal bureaucracy and offer competitive benefits, including generous PTO and a strong 401(k) plan.RoleWe are hiring a Consultant in Infrastructure Economics, Risk and Cost Analysis that is experienced and efficient in building spreadsheet-based models and can assist with benefit cost studies, risk studies, and financial plans for major transportation projects. Example of responsibilities include:Support developing spreadsheet-based tools for project risk analysis, cost-benefit analysis, lifecycle cost analysis, financial analysis, and business caseCommunicate with client project managers, construction managers, costs and schedule leads, and project control managers to collect and compile project dataCompile, review, and analyze project data and interface with client and project teams on resultsPrepare technical reports, documenting input data, methodology, and results in text format and with graphic illustrationsPrepare PowerPoint presentations and present results to clientsAttend and support risk workshops and client meetingsConduct research and literature reviewsOther project management and coordination tasksRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree with 4+year work experience in Transportation Planning, Economics, or Civil Engineering with strong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Expertise and efficiency in Excel is critical.Excellent written and verbal communication skills are critical.Adept at working independently and within a team environment including the ability to interact with clients and consultants from other companiesProactive, self-motivated, well-organized, and detail-orientedAble to handle confidential informationFlexibility and ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and collaborate on various projects in a small business environmentLegally authorized to work in the United States without restriction or need for sponsorshipPreferred QualificationsExperience developing complex spreadsheet-based tools and models, including VBA and pivot tablesFamiliarity with conducting sensitivity analysis and Monte Carlo simulation concepts and software, such as Palisade @RISKKnowledge of project risk analysis and risk management techniquesKnowledge of cost-benefit analysis concepts and techniquesKnowledge of economic, statistical, and financial analysisWork experience on transportation projects in planning, design, and constructionlocationLos Angeles, CAAbility to meet client in Southern California region as needed.ScheduleHiring for a full-time (40 hours a week) positionSalary ExpectationsEmployer-provided salary range is $90,000 - $130,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.BenefitsRetirement plan with 401K matchingRegular holidays and PTOAnnual health stipend SHA Analytics, LLC, is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer.
