For info visit rws.com/smallworldstudio.RWS Small World Studio is currently looking for a freelance Korean/English Copywriter with solid copyediting experience in film/TV/entertainment copy to join our fast-growing international pool of talent, to work on exciting global brands. The successful candidates will have the opportunity to work with leading brands on projects across Creative Content Editing, Transcreation (short and long formats), Marketing Translation, SEO (Search Engine Optimization), Cultural Consultation, Market Insights, Voice Over Direction etc. We are looking for people who are passionate about what they do and that have a genuine interest in helping brands speak across cultural and linguistic borders.Purpose: RWS Small World Studio facilitates Creative Consultation, Creative Language and Creative Production services for brands and agencies looking to deliver globally consistent and locally relevant marketing, advertising and branded content. The copyeditor will be working closely with our Integrated Producers, Creative Director and in-house Linguistic Teams as well as client teams editing Korean into English adaptations of Korean films, TV series and other entertainment programs.Requirements:Minimum of 3 years of proven creative/marketing transcreation and creative copywriting/transcreation/editing experience ideally within the advertising and marketing sector, specifically in film/TV/entertainment.Experience gained from language service provider, internal localization department, creative agency, internal agency or production agency perspectiveSound experience of working with global brands, confident in understanding nuances of tonality, style and target audience for such brandsSome design/art direction experience, it could be simply gained as being part of a creative team and/or working with designers and art directorsExcellent command of Korean and English, based in Korea or the US ideally.Excellent knowledge and understanding of Korean and US English cultures.Ability to adapt brand, advertising and marketing content to suit local market needs and requirements, taking into account language, culture, emotion, tonality, imagery etc.Strong creative flair and sound knowledge of TV/Film/Entertainment culture.The Candidate:Well versed in the creative advertising arena, and specifically in Korean Films/TV/EntertainmentFlexible, with an ability to prioritize and adapt quicklyUnderstanding of the creative process in marketing production cyclesCollaborative attitude, working towards constant improvementClient-facing experienceFamiliar with creative/transcreation briefsWorks well with an international/multi-location teamCreative flair – able to bring new dimensions to projects and briefs at the adaptation and editing stagesExcellent attention to detail and accuracyExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsAble to work under pressure and prioritize effectivelyNever fails to meet a deadlineAbility to take on board and respect feedbackApproachable, with a can-do attitude
