The position requires close coordination with design, technical, commercial, and project delivery teams to ensure the design intent is successfully implemented throughout the project lifecycle.Key Responsibilities:Design Development & Technical Delivery• Lead the development of architectural concepts, layouts, and design studies for modular projects.• Prepare mood boards, sketches, zoning plans, and conceptual design presentations.• Produce architectural drawings and detailed documentation using Revit and AutoCAD.• Develop detailed plans, elevations, and architectural detailing including interior layouts, finishes, lighting, and joinery.Design Coordination• Coordinate with Structural Engineers, Technical Designers, and consultants to ensure design integration.• Ensure the timely flow of information between stakeholders through RFIs and design updates.• Resolve design clashes and conflicts to maintain project progress and design integrity.• Ensure designs align with DfMA principles and modular construction methodologies.Client & Stakeholder Collaboration• Assist clients and commercial teams in developing accurate project briefs.• Communicate design intent and technical requirements clearly with project stakeholders.• Participate in design coordination meetings and technical discussions.• Ensure client requirements and project objectives are reflected in the design development.Authority Approvals & Compliance• Ensure drawings and submissions comply with local authority regulations and approval requirements.• Coordinate authority submissions and ensure comments are incorporated into design revisions.• Maintain compliance with Arena design standards and procedures.Project Delivery Support• Coordinate with Estimating, Commercial, and Project Management teams during tendering and delivery stages.• Review contractor submittals and ensure alignment with design intent.• Provide on-site design support to ensure construction aligns with approved designs.• Support value engineering initiatives to balance design quality and project budgets.Design Management & Documentation• Review design packages before submission to ensure accuracy and completeness.• Maintain organized documentation and drawing registers according to Arena SOPs.• Prepare schedules, specifications, and material submittals.• Support project documentation and drawing control processes.Key Skills:• Advanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.• Working knowledge of SketchUp or similar 3D design software.• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Excel.• Strong conceptual design and visualization skills.• Excellent coordination and communication skills with multidisciplinary teams.• Strong attention to detail and design documentation accuracy.• Ability to manage multiple tasks within fast-paced project environments.• Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to respond to changing project conditions.Education & Experience:• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture is required.• Minimum 8+ years of architectural experience, including modular, commercial, hospitality, or mixed-use projects.• Experience in design & build project environments is preferred.• Experience working on projects requiring authority approvals within GCC markets is an advantage.• Experience with DfMA or modular construction systems is highly desirable.
