Freelance Social Media ManagerThe OpportunityGlamour & Gamble is seeking a strategic, execution-focused Social Media Manager to help build our social presence from (almost) the ground up. This part-time, freelance role is perfect for someone who loves ethical fashion, understands luxury consumer behavior, and thrives in a startup environment where every post, comment, and partnership matters.You'll work closely with Fridays (our brand strategy partner) and the G&G founder to bring our fun and sophisticated brand voice to life across Instagram and TikTok. This role isn't about creating every piece of content yourself—it's about being an excellent curator, brief writer, and community builder who knows how to procure scroll-stopping content through UGC platforms and micro influencer partnerships.The right candidate is creative, highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution. You're comfortable working independently, communicating progress clearly, and building systems that scale as we grow.The RoleContent Procurement & ManagementWrite compelling, detailed creative briefs for UGC creators and influencer partners that result in high-quality, on-brand contentManage relationships with UGC platforms (Insense, Trend.io, etc.) to source authentic, engaging content at scaleVet and select creators whose aesthetic and values align with G&G's brand identity and who can deliver content that performs.Coordinate content delivery timelines and ensure assets meet brand standardsDeliver strategic, actionable feedback to creators to ensure that all assets are platform-specific and performance-driven.Build and maintain an organized content library for easy access and repurposingPlatform Management & Community BuildingManage day-to-day operations of Instagram and TikTok accounts, including scheduling, posting, and optimizing content for each platformRespond to comments and DMs within 48 hours with thoughtful, on-brand engagement that builds genuine connectionsMonitor user-generated content and identify reposting opportunities that celebrate our communitySet up and optimize platform features including automated DM sequences, link hubs and Instagram Broadcast Channel when appropriate.Track trending sounds, formats, and conversations, and recommend which trends align with our brand and how we can jump on them with content.Strategic Execution & CollaborationPartner with Fridays and G&G leadership to execute the content strategy outlined in our brand playbookMaintain a rolling content calendar that balances giveaway announcements, brand partner features, educational content, and community engagementEnsure all content aligns with our messaging pillars and speaks to our target audience segmentsProactively identify opportunities to amplify high-performing organic content through partnerships or paid supportProvide weekly and monthly performance updates with clear insights on what's working and recommendations for optimizationDesign & Asset CreationDesign simple, on-brand static post templates in Canva or similar tools for announcements, quotes, and educational contentAdapt brand guidelines to create visually cohesive Instagram and TikTok contentWork within established brand templates to maintain consistency while allowing for creative variationJob RequirementsExperience & Skills2-3+ years of experience managing social media for consumer brands, ideally in fashion, lifestyle, or purpose-driven consumer brand spacesUnderstanding of what drives virality and shareability on short-form video platformsExperience writing creative briefs that inspire excellent work from creators Experience working with UGC content platforms and/or managing influencer partnershipsStrong understanding of Instagram and TikTok best practices, algorithm behavior, and what makes content perform on each platformDemonstrated success building engaged communities through thoughtful, authentic interactionProficiency in Canva or similar design tools for creating simple, beautiful static content.
