If you have the qualities and drive to lead yourself or teams, there are roles ready to cultivate your skills and take you to the next level.Job DescriptionThis position supports North & South Asia District Freight Forwarding Operations Director in managing SCS operations in countries to achieve both financial and operational goals.ResponsibilitiesFreight Operating Process and Procedure Development Assists in improving operations by ensuring operational processes are standardized and initiative execution are aligned across countriesAssists in gateway and operational support measurements to monitor and improve processes and business resultsAssists in establishing and monitoring the Key Performance Indicators (including business results tracking, productivity, cost management) to ensure improvement of KPI’sAssists in pre-audit preparation and self-assessment to ensure countries work according to standard and comply wayMakes recommendations for changes to resolve supply chain or operational issuesDocumentation and Reporting Assists in the generation and distribution of performance reports to concerned parties to ensure performance awareness and improvementProduces statistical and analytical reports for management to determine lane activity and growth opportunitiesConducts data analysis to identify issues and action plans for continuous improvementFM Cost monitoringEvaluates IAF cost and sell rate input by country. Routing and mark up details to drive pricing competitiveness initiatives and margin improvement activitiesMarket IntelligenceGathers and conducts research on market intelligenceCoordination with Country OperationsWorks closely with countries on identifying root causes of recurring issues and develops solutions to improve freight forwarding operationsPrepares weekly and monthly report and forecasts for district management and operationsRequirementsDegree holder with business related background or equivalent qualificationPreferably possess knowledge on freight forwarding operations processes, procedures, and technology to ensure efficient movement of shipments through intermodal transportation (e.g., air, ocean, rail and ground)Fluent English in conversation and writingProficient in Excel or other analytical tools or software Proactive and eager to ask questions, always look for continuous improvementsPresentable with good communication skillsFast analysisFast leaner and can work under high pressureEmployee TypePermanentUPS is committed to providing a workplace free of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.
