In this role, you will focus on preparing our product for localization by identifying and replacing hard-coded text with translation variables. You will work within the existing React codebase to support the rollout of new languages, starting with Korean. This position requires attention to detail and a solid understanding of React fundamentals, ensuring a smooth and consistent multilingual user experience across the platform.You will work closely with other developers, product managers, and data teams to contribute to the ongoing development of our product, enhancing the value it delivers to our subscribers.This role is 100% remote, offering flexibility to work from home.What You'll DoDevelop Front-End (ReactJS) for a modern financial media websiteParticipate in design and planning discussions, and contribute architecture ideasDevelop and test new user-facing featuresWrite highly scalable, reusable, and testable codeWrite unit testsOptimize the application for maximum speed and performanceCollaborate with other team membersRequirementsExperience in ReactJS for at least 3 years3+ years of front-end development experience in building complex and scalable high-load applicationsExperience in TypescriptKnowledge of Agile principles, open-source ecosystem, Test Driven Development (TDD)Comfortable with source version control software (Git)Experience with CSS3 and Less/Sass (ability to write mixings, partials, use source maps, etc).Deep understanding of Mobile-first Responsive design. Understanding of all major browsers and the special considerations required for various quirks.Knowledge of browser internals like JavaScript engines, native DOM, Event APIs, and ways to tune code for the best performance.Would be a plus:Experience working in a UNIX environmentProficiency in ES6 and newer specifications of EcmaScriptKnowledge and understanding of server-side architecture best practices, a good understanding of the HTTP protocol, and networkingPersonal skills:Ability to focus on detailsSelf-motivated, self-disciplined, goal-drivenAnalytical and problem-solving skillsGood ability to learn fastService and teamwork orientation
