Frontend Developer (React/Typescript)

We are looking for a React/TypeScript Developer to build high-quality, scalable, and maintainable front-end applications. You will work closely with backend teams, product teams, and designers to deliver modern user interfaces using React, Next.js 14, and TypeScript.This role requires strong front-end engineering fundamentals, component architecture experience, and familiarity with testing and API integration. You should be comfortable building production-grade UIs and ensuring performance, accessibility, and maintainability.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop front-end applications using React, Next.js 14, and TypeScript.Implement responsive UI using CSS (Tailwind preferred).Manage global and local state using React Context API.Write and maintain automated tests using Jest and React Testing Library.Integrate and consume RESTful APIs from backend services.Implement basic authentication flows and handle secure data interactions.Collaborate with backend and product teams to refine requirements and improve UI/UX.Ensure code quality through peer reviews, clean architecture, and reusable components.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)High-quality, maintainable front-end code delivered within sprint timelines.Stable and bug-free UI performance measured through testing and monitoring tools.Clear documentation and consistent implementation of UI components.Strong collaboration with backend and cross-functional teams.Effective coverage of unit and integration tests across the codebase.Must-Have Skills & ExperienceStrong proficiency in TypeScript, React, and Next.js 14.Hands-on experience with CSS, ideally Tailwind CSS.Skilled in state management using React Context API.Experience writing automated tests with Jest and React Testing Library.Comfortable consuming RESTful APIs and handling common patterns (pagination, error states, loading, caching).Understanding of basic authentication concepts (sessions, tokens, headers).Ability to work independently and deliver clean, maintainable components.Nice to HaveExperience with Kotlin or Java.Familiarity with gRPC and Protocol Buffers.Experience using the Gradle build system.Exposure to internationalization (react-intl or similar).Experience integrating A/B testing tools.Knowledge of front-end performance optimization.Awareness of web accessibility (a11y) standards.Experience integrating Adyen or other payment systems.Understanding of microservices architecture and how front-end applications integrate into it.Traits We ValueStrong attention to detail and UI craftsmanship.Proactive communication and collaboration across teams.Ability to solve problems independently and propose improvements.Enthusiasm for front-end best practices, testing, and maintainable code.What We Offer:Competitive salary and benefits.A dynamic and supportive work environment.Opportunities for professional growth and development.The chance to work on cutting-edge technologies and projects.Who we are:Wolkk is an offshore outsourcing company dedicated to connecting international clients with top talent in Indonesia.
