Frontwave Arena (FWA) is seeking a skilled and dynamic Manager of Custodial Services to supervise and coordinate the day-to-day housekeeping operations of the facilities and manage all cleaning functions in the venue to ensure a clean, safe, and orderly experience for the guest. The position provides leadership and direction to part-time staff about building policy and procedures.
What This Role Will DoOversees housekeeping services for the facilities Assign work activities, monitor workflow, identify and resolve common operational issues Maintain an accurate record keeping system for hazardous materials communication program Interact with clients, both internal and external, serving their needs within the confines of state and local laws, and providing physical facility needs and performing custodial duties.
Oversee operations and troubleshoot issues with cleaning equipment, including scrubbers, pressure washers and utility vehicles Coordinate building housekeeping needs on event days Select, train, motivate, and evaluate housekeeping staff; provide or coordinate staff training; work with employees to correct deficiencies; implement discipline and termination procedures Foster a collaborative environment across departments to execute high-quality events.
Coordinate building housekeeping needs on event days Work with facilities management, concessionaire and outside vendors to ensure all areas are safe and clean for patrons Understand and enforce all building and housekeeping policies Coordinate and enforce venues greening initiatives Support Operations team with all work associated with event day incident tracking procedures Coordinate and/or Supervise work assignments Coordinate/Assist department with all training provided by Facility Management DepartmentWhat This Person Will BringMinimum 5 years of hands-on event experience in a large venue housekeeping function, sports/entertainment facility preferredProficiency in Microsoft Windows based processing and spreadsheet applications Proficiency in automated payroll, scheduling, and inventory control systems Capable of rotating shifts, work split shifts, work weekends Possess a valid Driver’s LicenseSuperior communicative and supervisory skills Ability to function in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Candidates must be able to follow orders explicitly, be capable of working as part of a team, and be able to work well with other individuals.
Candidates should be able to work alone if required and be able to complete tasks up to and including final clean up and putting tools and supplies back to their assigned storage areasWork a flexible schedule including early mornings, days, evenings, overnight, weekends, holidays, extended (long) workdays and extended number of days Expertise in industry housekeeping standards, OSHA and NFPA regulations, custodial equipment, and event operations. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Strong interpersonal and supervisory skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external clients.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, and event management tools. Ability to stand for long periods, lift 50+ lbs with assistance, and work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
