This role will support purchases across multiple commodities, stakeholders (capital projects, facility management, production, etc.), and nationwide facilities.We are looking for the right person who is equipped and ready for these challenges to join our team.ResponsibilitiesReview purchase requests and issue purchase orders in a timely manner without errorEnsure purchase orders are acknowledged by suppliersReview quotes to ensure those are complete and align with SpaceX termsResolve invoice issues and ensure that vendors are paid on timeExpedite parts/services as necessaryAct as customer service for SpaceX internal customersSupport buyers in cost savings initiativesLead miscellaneous procurement projectsWork collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to identify and implement process improvement initiatives in order to reduce order processing time and costBasic QualificationsBachelor's degree; or 4+ years of professional experience working in a supply chain, production, or engineering function in lieu of a degreePreferred Skills And ExperiencePurchasing experience, specifically related to indirect buyingRemarkable problem-solving skills with a bias for speedAbility to learn quickly and prioritize appropriately to meet customer and company needsExcellent customer service skillsEffective written, verbal and presentation communication skillsExceptional analytical and organizational skillsStrong technical knowledge of MS Office SuiteAbility to conduct all activities with the highest degree of integrityDetail-oriented, self-motivated and able to respond quickly to a fast-moving and ever-changing environmentFamiliarity with data analysis tools including Microsoft SQL and PowerBIAdditional RequirementsAbility to work overtime and weekends as neededThis position is based in Hawthorne, CA and requires being onsite - remote work not consideredPay RangeCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: Fulfillment Buyer/Level 1: $27.00/hourYour actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
