In this role, the engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining both the front-end (including UI/UX design wireframes) and back-end of web applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing intuitive, modern user interfaces using Figma and building them into production-ready web applications using React.js. In addition, the candidate should be proficient in AWS infrastructure, Terraform, and microservice-based Python backend development. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role that combines design, engineering, and occasional customer interaction for demos, technical support, or feature walkthroughs. Duties and Responsibilities: UI/UX Design & Frontend Development: Independently design complete UI/UX flows, wireframes, and prototypes in Figma. Build responsive, performant, and visually refined interfaces using React.js, TypeScript, and Next.js. Implement reusable components, consistent design systems, and ensure cross-platform compatibility.  Backend Development: Develop scalable microservices and RESTful APIs using Python (FastAPI). Design and document system architectures that support scalability and maintainability. Integrate APIs and ensure secure, efficient data exchange between frontend and backend services.  Architecture and Infrastructure: Design and maintain cloud-based infrastructure using AWS. Automate infrastructure setup and configuration using Terraform (Infrastructure as Code). Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions. Containerize applications using Docker. Set up and maintain logging, monitoring, and alerting systems using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK.  Customer-Facing & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Participate in customer demos, technical discussions, and post-deployment support when needed. Provide technical support to customers, troubleshooting issues, and offering solutions to ensure user satisfaction.   Technical Skills & Experience Frontend: React.js, TypeScript, Next.js, Redux / Context API, TailwindCSS / Material UI UI/UX Design: Figma (end-to-end UI/UX design, prototyping, component design, interaction flow) Backend: Python (FastAPI / Flask), RESTful APIs Database: PostgreSQL, MongoDB Infrastructure: AWS, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform Monitoring & Logging: CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK CI/CD: GitHub Actions / GitLab CI / Jenkins System Design: Distributed systems, caching (Redis), message queues (RabbitMQ / Kafka), load balancing  Minimum Job Requirements:  Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.  Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of experience in full-stack development with a focus on UI/UX and front-end development. Language Proficiency: Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with teams and customers. Location: Candidates should be open to relocation if they are not residing in Vancouver.  Work Hours:Candidates should be flexible and able to adjust their working hours (e.g., from 9 AM–5 PM to 10 PM–6 PM) based on project requirements or client needs.Ready to shape the future of secure, resilient digital systems? Apply now and let’s build it together. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Salary Range: CAD 75,000-90,000 (based on experience and skill set).  Benefits: • Healthcare Insurance (medical, dental, and vision coverage) • Paid Vacation & Personal Time Off • Sick Leave & Mental Health Days • Performance Bonuses • Stock Options or Equity Opportunities  • Professional Development Allowance (courses, certifications, or conferences) • Team Events & Company Retreats • Wellness Programs (Dietitian, therapy reimbursement, etc.)
