As a Full Stack Software Engineer supporting the Zero Trust project, you’ll help develop and deploy modern Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) solutions across secure, mission-critical environments. You’ll design and deliver scalable web-based architectures that integrate front-end and back-end components, enabling the Zero Trust framework within the Department of Defense. Working alongside senior engineers, you’ll develop high-performance applications that enhance usability, security, and compliance in support of the nation’s most critical networks.Schedule and Work DetailsLocation: Government or Contractor Facility, Ft. Meade, MD areaSchedule: 40 hours per week, normal day shiftHere's What Your Day-to-Day Might IncludeDesign, develop, and maintain front-end and back-end components for ICAM and Zero Trust applicationsBuild and test scalable web-based architectures integrating Java back-end services with ReactJS front-end interfacesImplement RESTful APIs and microservices using Spring Boot, Docker, and KubernetesDevelop new features and user interfaces to meet customer and mission requirementsEnsure compliance with Section 508 accessibility standards and best practices for usabilityModify repository schemas to support new configurable data structuresAutomate deployments using CI/CD pipelines and tools like Maven, Git, and Jenkins or GitLab CISupport customer integration, troubleshooting, and documentation effortsIntegrate existing ICAM components using Bash scripts and maintain compatibility across platformsCollaborate in an agile team environment focused on secure and reliable deliveryMinimum QualificationsClearance: Top Secret Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (must be active). We do not have the ability to sponsor clearances.Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen. We cannot sponsor visas.Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field plus twelve (12) years of software engineering experienceOR sixteen (16) years of software engineering experience in lieu of a degreeExperience supporting SIGINT, IA, or IT domains preferredRequired SkillsProficiency in Java software development and REST API designFront-end development with ReactJS and knowledge of UX best practicesExperience with Spring Boot application development and Docker containerizationFamiliarity with Kubernetes orchestration and AWS cloud services (S3, EC2, ECR)Strong understanding of OAuth2/OpenID Connect and PKI authentication standardsKnowledge of JSON, XML, and data integration workflowsGit version control and Maven build managementBash scripting in Linux environmentsExperience writing and maintaining CI/CD pipelinesAbility to create and maintain detailed technical documentationDesired SkillsExperience with ElasticSearch or other indexing technologiesCloud infrastructure experience using Terraform or CloudFormationKnowledge of ICAM architecture and integration patternsFamiliarity with Puppet or Ansible for deployment automationAWS Professional/Specialty or Microsoft Azure CertificationExperience with JUnit/Mock testing frameworksExperience using Confluence and JIRAStrong communication, organization, and independent work skillsCompensation Range: $196,000.00 - $258,000.00 The salary range provided reflects an estimate based on current market trends and may be adjusted based on factors such as the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications.
