You will work across the stack — from creating intuitive, user-friendly front-end components to building and maintaining robust back-end systems.For this role, you should be located in Canada, and able to work within EST/EDT hours. We offer a choice of fully remote, partially remote or fully office-based work environments (in cities with local offices).What You Will Be DoingDevelop and maintain scalable, maintainable, and secure full-stack applications and web componentsBuild, evolve, and implement new and existing UI/UX features in close collaboration with the design teamDevelop and optimize backend logic, APIs, and integrations to support frontend functionalityMaintain and extend our WordPress ecosystem, including custom themes, plugins, and Gutenberg blocksEnsure high standards of code quality through reviews, testing, and peer collaborationParticipate in technical discussions, architecture decisions, and feature planningStay current with both frontend and backend best practices and technologiesWhat You Need To BringStrong experience with backend development (PHP and Node.js, databases such as MySQL/Postgres)Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), with experience in frameworks such as ReactStrong knowledge of semantic HTML, CSS (Sass/LESS), and building responsive, accessible interfacesKnowledge of SEO best practices in development to ensure code and content structure support overall search visibilityExperience working with RESTful APIs and integrations (building and consuming)Solid experience with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Wordpress Multisite & Gutenberg) and customizing them when neededExperience with version control (Git/GitHub) and modern development workflowsSolid understanding of cross-browser/platform compatibility issues and solutionsAbility to estimate, scope, and deliver features independently and as part of a teamAbility to contribute to clear documentation and actively share knowledge to support team collaboration and project continuityA strong interest in great UX and performance-driven developmentAs a global company with employees and clients outside of Quebec, fluency in English as a working language is required for this position.Nice to haveExperience with testing (unit, integration, e2e with Cypress/Jest)Knowledge of Google Tag Manager (GTM) and website analytics (GA4)Familiarity with TypeScriptExperience with cloud hosting environments (e.g., AWS, GCP) and deployment workflowsKnowledge of security and performance best practices for web applicationsExperience working in an Agile development environmentLeverage AI-assisted development tools thoughtfully to improve productivity, while ensuring code quality, security, and maintainabilityNow, what is in it for you?Ability to do your job in a truly flexible environment;Genuine career opportunities in a company that’s creating new jobs everyday;Work in a team big enough for growth but lean enough to make a real impact.….
