Functional Mobile Tester (6 month contract)

DVT is looking for a detail-oriented Manual/Functional Mobile Tester for a 6 month project in Centurion.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, execute, and document manual test cases for web and mobile applications, with an emphasis on hardware device testing.Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing across multiple devices and browsers.Use physical hardware devices for testing wherever possible; supplement with BrowserStack for broader coverage.Identify, log, and track defects using test management tools (e.g., JIRA, Xray, Qmetry).Collaborate with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure test coverage.Participate in test planning, risk analysis, and requirements reviews.Provide clear and concise feedback on usability, reliability, and performance issues.Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and documentation.Tech StackHardware devices (mobile phones iOS & Android, tablets, desktops, etc.)BrowserStack (for cross-browser/device testing)Test Management: JIRA, Xray, QmetryDocumentation: Confluence, Google Docs, or similarCommunication: Slack, Teams, or similarMust-Have ExperienceProven experience in manual/functional testing of web and mobile applications.Hands-on experience with hardware device testing (e.g., smartphones, tablets, desktops).Familiarity with BrowserStack or similar cross-browser/device testing platforms.Strong understanding of QA principles and software development life cycle.Experience with defect tracking and test management tools.Ability to write clear, comprehensive test cases and bug reports.Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.Good communication and collaboration skills.
