Are you passionate about building safe and reliable automotive systems?Join our team in Timisoara / Iasi / Sibiu and play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of functional safety in compliance with ISO 26262, with a strong focus on software development.What will you do?You will lead and support functional safety activities in compliance with ISO 26262, with a particular focus on software-related aspects. Your responsibilities will include:Leading the functional safety process in alignment with ISO 26262 requirements, primarily within the software domain.Supporting hazard analysis and risk assessment activities.Contributing to the development of the safety case and the definition of safety goals.Defining both the preliminary and functional safety concepts.Developing the technical safety concept and defining corresponding safety requirements.Performing and reviewing safety analyses (FMEA, FTA, DFA, FMEDA), mainly in a software context, and ensuring the proper implementation and verification of safety mechanisms.Supporting test and validation activities to confirm compliance with safety objectives.Ensuring full traceability across safety requirements and system functions.Compiling and maintaining the safety case documentation.Proposing and implementing effective safety-related solutions, particularly for software functions.Must-Have Technical Knowledge:A minimum of 5 years within the area of functional safety;Knowledge of functional safety standards as ISO 26262;Strong understanding of microcontroller safety architectures, particularly for RHxxx and TCxxx platforms.Proven experience in SoC safety architecture design (ARM Cortex real-time and application cores) and SEooC development in compliance with ISO 26262.Good understanding of system architecture, including the ability to interpret and create system diagrams and logical schematics.Good knowledge of hardware safety mechanisms and hardware-related safety concepts.Hands-on experience in Classic AUTOSAR architecture design, configuration, and integration.Experience with embedded C programming, including the ability to write and understand low-level code.Basic understanding of QNX and Linux operating systems, particularly regarding safety-related aspects (considered a plus)Must Have Soft SkillsExcellent communication and collaboration skills: able to work effectively with functional teams.Analytical thinking: ability to assess risks, identify root causes, and propose effective mitigations.Proactive and self-driven: takes ownership of safety activities and follows through on deliverables.Documentation and traceability: able to maintain detailed safety documentation, trace requirements, and compile safety cases.Fluent in English (written and spoken): able to prepare technical documentation and interact with international teams.Why you’ll love working with usYou’ll have the opportunity to shape cutting-edge automotive technologies.You’ll work in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment where your expertise truly matters.You’ll contribute directly to the safety and reliability of tomorrow’s vehicles.If you think this offer suits your profile, please send us your application.
