This is your opportunity to design functional, beautiful, and forward-thinking products.What we offer:Salary: £35,000 per annum (dependent upon experience)Opportunity to develop experience in a dynamic environment28 days holiday per year (including bank holidays)Free on-site parkingAccess to Dams employee hub with hundreds of retailer discountsHealth cash plan (employer funded)Death in service insurance (employer funded)Employee 'Above and Beyond' awardsEmployee wellbeing services & onsite eventsKey responsibilities:Design and develop furniture products that align with brand identity and market trendsConduct research to understand requirements and find gaps in the marketDevelop furniture designs and ideas from concept to productionEnsure product concepts are technically feasible, commercially viable and usableGenerate 3D models which are compliant with appropriate standards and proceduresSource the right materials that not only produce high-quality products, but also considers sustainability, durability, and cost-efficiencyResearching and integrating components and fittingsCreate and oversee prototypes for new products to sample and quality testAbility to produce 3D visuals and high-resolution rendersPresent concepts and design iterations to stakeholders with clear rationale and supporting documentationGenerate and maintain documentation for all projects, including specifications, BOM’s, etc.Experience & Knowledge requiredDemonstrable previous experience in a similar rolePrevious experience in furniture product and soft seating designDegree level qualification in product designStrong understanding of furniture design, production methods and materials - able to create conceptual designs from sketches to 3D modelsProven ability to generate accurate, detailed production drawingsStrong eye for aesthetics, knowledge of materials and construction techniques, and the ability to design innovative, functional, and market-ready furnitureGood working knowledge of SolidWorks & AutoCADAbility to work on multiple projects, working to timescales and achieving deadlinesExcellent organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied workloadIf you're ready to bring your creativity and design skills to a company shaping the future of workspaces, we’d love to hear from you.The company reserves the right to interview for this post should we receive suitable candidates prior to the closing date.
